It is specifically aimed at visually impaired people who are interested in information technology and wish to become experts in the digital world. The training programme is exclusively held in German.
Facts and figures
- Duration: 18 months
- Workload: 40 % (including one day per week on site at “Access for all”)
If you are familiar with computers and assistive technologies and speak German, you already meet the most important requirements for the training programme. We also value team spirit and enjoyment in dealing with customers.
Training content
We integrate apprentices into the foundation’s daily activities at a very early stage. This allows them to take on responsibility and learn directly in the field.
The modules include:
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Testing and documenting digital offerings in accordance with WCAG
- Creating accessible documents
- Project management
- Public relations and acquisition
- Collaboration with the “Access for all” academy and internal training courses
- Expertise in WAI-ARIA and HTML5
To enable apprentices to deepen their knowledge in a practical way, they are given training projects:
- Website design
- Conducting their own accessibility studies
- Final project of their choice, including presentation
During the training, apprentices can prepare for the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) exam. The certificate issued by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) is recognised worldwide.
Our graduates
The training programme to become a Digital Accessibility Professional has already paved the way for many people to take on positions of responsibility. Numerous graduates are now using their expertise to make the digital world accessible.

Regina Reusser
Prior to the training programme, Regina has worked as a commercial employee at SNABlind, the Swiss National Association of and for the Blind. Although she generally enjoyed the work, she felt underchallenged and wanted to develop further. She successfully completed her training in December 2025 and now works as an accessibility consultant for the foundation and as a lecturer at the “Access for all” academy. A highlight of her training programme was a guest lecture she held at ETH Zurich.

Mo Sherif
Since completing the training programme, Mo has been employed part-time at “Access for all” as an accessibility consultant. The training opened his eyes and showed him that digital accessibility benefits everyone in the world when used correctly.

Gianfranco Giudice
Gianfranco was already working as a freelancer for “Access for all” as a WCAG 1.0 tester before he started the training programme. After graduating in 2013, he worked part-time for the foundation until 2022. Gianfranco is currently employed as an accessibility advisor at UBS Bank.
