Accessibility statement
The “Access for all” foundation strives to make its website fully accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA (partially AAA).
This accessibility statement applies to the website access-for-all.ch.
Accessibility support measures
The “Access for all” foundation takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of its website access-for-all.ch:
- Accessibility is an inherent part of all activities of the “Access for All” foundation. Employees with disabilities are involved in all processes.
- All acquisitions include accessibility as a requirement in the list of conditions.
- Employees work continuously on projects in which they update and deepen their knowledge of accessibility.
- Web content is continuously checked for accessibility by in-house accessibility experts.
State of compatibility with the requirements
This website is almost fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA. The few temporary incompatibilities with WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA that still exist are listed below. Work is already in progress to resolve any remaining issues.
Additional information on accessibility
The access-for-all.ch website has accessibility improvements that go well beyond compliance level AA and are also capable of meeting level AAA requirements, including:
- Contrast of all content reaches the required higher minimum values of Success Criterion 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced).
- A breadcrumb in addition to other location indication measures is available, according to Success Criterion 2.4.8 Location.
Compatibility with browsers and assistive technologies
The website is implemented for barrier-free accessibility with the following screen reader-browser combinations:
Browser Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, and others, with screen readers NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and others.
Technical specifications
The accessibility of the website is based on the following basic technologies in connection with the specified combinations of browsers and assistive technologies or plugins on your computer:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are required for conformance to the specified accessibility standard.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not fully accessible for the reasons stated:
Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
- Breadcrumb is not formatted as an HTML list: a third-party plugin is used here, which is currently being adapted.
- The hover pop-up menus of the main navigation cannot be closed without moving the focus away: the third-party plugin turned out to be non-compliant too late, and is currently in adaptation.
- There are still single code errors in the areas of ‘invalid nesting’ and ‘duplicate IDs’, but these do not cause any noticeable problems with checked browser-screen reader combinations: the adopted third-party components are in the process of adaptation.
- The contact page includes a Google map that is not accessible: this is third-party content and cannot be managed. It provides largely redundant information on address details and textual directions.
